This study explores gender role stereotypes that contribute to the limited involvement of men in family life. In patriarchal societies, domestic responsibilities are typically assigned to women, while men are predominantly viewed as the main breadwinners. The primary aim of the research is to assess how deeply these stereotypes influence men’s participation in household roles and how this affects gender equality within the family. A qualitative approach was employed, using literature studies and in-depth interviews with individuals who are currently in a family setting. The findings reveal that deeply rooted social norms continue to restrict men's engagement in domestic tasks. This lack of male participation not only increases the burden on women but also hinders the development of balanced and fair family relationships. The study further emphasizes the importance of gender equality education from an early age and the significant role media can play in reshaping outdated perceptions of male roles. In conclusion, dismantling role stereotypes is essential to foster equitable and just family structures
