Implementing character education in schools is an effort to improve students' positive character. The aim of this research is to determine the management of character education for class V students. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research, with the research focus being the implementation of student character education. Data was obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using interactive qualitative analysis, namely data reduction, data collection, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that character education in elementary school. SD Negeri 1 Langsa is carried out in learning activities and creating school culture, which is carried out systematically through three stages, first, preparing a learning program plan and a school discipline program with character. Second, implementing a learning program plan by promising personality values in the material, creating a learning climate with character, and enforcing the implementation of school discipline. Third, measure student learning development in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects and assess the success of the character education program. The nature of its management still faces several challenges so it needs to be continuously improved.
