Abstract

The study discusses the Transformation of Classical and Modern Learning Methods of Dayah Syiah Kuala. This method is an effective teaching method, a conducive learning atmosphere, experienced and knowledgeable teachers, and a supportive community. Previous studies have shown that this method is also effective in teaching, both in education and science. This study aims to complement the shortcomings of Dayah Syiah Kuala, as one of the leading Islamic educational institutions in Aceh, has long been known for its unique learning method, namely combining classical and modern methods. This is interesting to study, because it shows how Dayah Syiah Kuala is able to adapt to the times and needs of society, while maintaining important traditional values. However, the learning method at Dayah Syiah Kuala still has several shortcomings. In line with that, three questions that can be asked in this study are: First, how has the development of classical learning methods in Syiah Kuala been since its founding? Second, has there been a transformation from classical and modern learning approaches? Third, what can complement the shortcomings of classical and modern learning methods at Dayah Syiah Kuala
