Overparenting has caused changes in children's morals. Changes in children's morals are a serious problem that occurs in today's era. Overparenting, which is currently widespread among parents globally, has formed the mindset of parents. This parenting pattern is considered to provide convenience in educating and fostering children, which in essence has an impact on the morals, character and ethics of the child. This study is useful in analysing the transformation of overparenting to provide a comprehensive understanding of the importance of parenting in the relationship between the world of children. The purpose of this paper is to complement the shortcomings of previous normative studies. The conditions of changes in children's morals that parents face and experience are not adequately addressed in existing studies. parents become agents of change in the parenting process that occurs in the world of children. This paper is based on the argument that the transformation that occurs due to changes in the paradigm/mindset of parents towards the meaning of responding to parenting. The relationship between changes in overparenting and positive parenting knowledge cannot be separated from the role of parents. The responsibility of parents as guardians of morals and religious knowledge has also driven this response to change, as experienced by children in one of the villages in the Langsa City area. It can be seen from the fact that overparenting has an impact on children's morals. Thus, the changes actualised by parents are in line with the development of the times that demand parents to transform from classical traditions to millennial traditions
