Abstract

This research aims to reveal the process of forming independence and maturation of students at the Muhammadiyah Kwala Madu Langkat Binjai Modern Islamic Boarding School, North Sumatra. Through a qualitative and phenomenological approach, this research will describe various factors that influence this process, starting from the Islamic boarding school environment, the curriculum implemented, to social interactions between students. It is hoped that the research results can contribute to the development of a more effective Islamic boarding school education model in forming an independent and mature young generation
