Abstract

This research is compiled to understand the history of Islamic culture and to know the history of the struggle of the prophets to fight for our religion from their time to the present day. One of the histories that we can know is the history of the development of Islam in the golden period (in 650 AD – 1250 AD) of the Abbasid Dynasty, where the government of the Abbasid dynasty was attributed to Al-Abbas, the uncle of the Prophet, while the first caliph of this government was Abdullah Ash-Sahffah bin Muhammad bin Ali bin Abdullah bin Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib.In 132 AH/750 AD, by Abul Abbas Ash-Shaffah, and at the same time as the first caliph. For five centuries, from 132-656 AH (750 AD-1258 AD). This research uses the social history method. The data obtained will be analysed and presented descriptively by selecting topics, collecting sources, verifying data, interpreting it, and then reconstructing it so that it becomes a complete and comprehensive explanation that is easy to understand and understand. The results of the research show that in this golden age we can know the history of the establishment of the Abbasid Dynasty and the Abbasid Caliphs, as well as the collapse of the Abbasid Dynasty, which we know occurred due to two specific factors, namely internal factors and external factors
